Spoilboard/Finishing Cutters

Onsrud Cutter has introduced an expanded line of spoil-board cutters that can be utilized for surfacing and resurfacing in traditional “flow through” spoilboard systems with enhanced capability in the area of finishing in plastic and aluminum. The entire line will machine a perfectly flat surface for part rigidity in “flow through” systems but additions and design changes have expanded the line far beyond this basic function. A smaller 1 1/4” diameter carbide tipped cutter has been added to provide a more economical method to surface small work areas or be utilized in smaller CNC machines. This radius-edged cutter makes it not only effective for spoilboard surfacing, but works equally well for planing flat sheet aluminum and plastic to size. The tool also performs slotting operations with excellent bottom finish results. For those requiring increased productivity, a 4” diameter insert tool with radius edged inserts has been added to finish large sheets of aluminum and plastic material in a minimum amount of production time.
