IR Fusion Technology

Asahi/America, together with their manufacturing partner Agru of Austria, continues to lead the advancement of IR welding technology. The latest models, SP110s, include numerous upgrades and features a completely automated welding process.

The SP110s control all movement and parameters during each phase of the welding process (heating, change over, joining and cooling). The heating element and clamps are precisely controlled and moved by the welding equipment. This automation eliminates operator influence during the fusion process and provides unmatched repeatability.

The SP110s are loaded with improvements and new features. The internal electronics and control devices have been updated for increased field durability. An automated adjustable planing depth has been incorporated to enhance fabrication capabilities. The touch screen is integrated into the front of the tool and screen displays have been updated for greater ease of use. These are just a few of the highlights for this exciting new equipment.

Asahi/America, Inc. specializes in providing solutions for fluid handling systems, individualized to meet virtually any customer’s need. Asahi is a leading manufacturer of corrosion resistant thermoplastic fluid handling products, including valves, actuators, pipe and fittings. The company maintains an extensive custom fabrication department and provides onsite consultation, supervision and training where required.

CPVC Piping Systems

Corzan® piping systems offer superior corrosion resistance, mechanical strength and excellent life-cycle economics. Built to withstand tough environments, they are chemically inert to most mineral acids, bases and salts, as well as aliphatic hydrocarbons. In addition, these systems are not subject to galvanic corrosion. As a result, Corzan piping systems can replace metallics and provide a longer service life, lower maintenance costs and help ensure environmental compliance. These combined benefits create a total installed cost that is lower than most other alternative piping materials, including carbon steel.

Additionally, Corzan pipe is pressure rated for up to 200ş F and maintain their pressure-bearing capabilities for 50 years with a safety factor of 2. Pipe and fittings are available in sizes up to 24” in diameter.

CPVC Pipe up to 24”

Harvel Plastics, Inc. has extended its line of rigid extruded industrial CPVC pipe to include 18”, 20”, and 24” sizes in Schedule 40 and 80 dimensions, becoming the first manufacturer to produce CPVC pipe in these larger diameters. Technological advancements and stringent lab testing have enabled Harvel to maintain outstanding physical properties for mechanical, thermal, electrical, and fire performance.

Harvel’s full line of CPVC pipe (1/4” to 24”) features outstanding corrosive resistance and superior high-temperature strength for use in a wide variety of applications. It is lightweight and available in plain end or belled one end, allowing easy, cost-effective installations. Harvel Plastics is a leading manufacturer of industrial PVC and CPVC piping, duct and specialty piping systems.
