Robotic Router Trimming Solutions

Robotic Production Technology (RPT) has introduced a family of robotic router trimming solutions. RoboTrim, the robotic router trimming solution, will allow thermoformers to compete in a global market. RPT offers several variations of its router trimming systems, as well as its material handling capabilities. The systems can handle parts of any size – from small helmets to large marine craft.

Robotic Production Technology has worked with a variety of thermoformers to install router trimming solutions to meet their needs. The systems include a robot, controller, teach pendant, Routerware (a customized software package for router trimming) and fixtures to hold the part in place. The system can be outfitted with any size robot, enclosed with a servo rotating wall or built in an open cell. In addition, the company offers RouterVac, a new vacuum system used to hold parts down during router trimming and to remove the chips from the system. The RouterVac system reduces tooling costs for manufacturers and minimizes clean up.

Other optional features include auto tool change and quick disconnect end-of-arm tooling.
