Technical Guidelines

Artek Inc., manufacturers of Duravar® UHMW-PE shapes, has published their new Technical Guideline Brochure featuring specifications and approvals, properties, characteristics and machining guidelines for their full line of sheet, rod and profiles. Also included are expansion and contraction calculations and references for various temperatures.

Their comprehensive machining guidelines include recommended tooling geometry and a difficulties and causes section.

Artek’s engineering staff is available to provide technical assistance in designing a special profile related to cost efficient tooling and productions. A profile and component design check list and criteria are also included in the new brochure.
