Increased Inventory Availability

Ensinger/Penn Fibre has announced the addition of three high performance materials to their available stock inventory. These products were previously available only by custom order. The addition of Natural PVDF, Ultem® 1000 natural and Pennite® 4508 Nylon sheets as stock materials signifies the increased market demand for these products.

Natural PVDF is now available from stock in standard 24” x 48” sheets in thicknesses of .031”, .062”, .093”, .125”, .187” and .250”. Custom production orders of PVDF are still available in both sheet and roll form from .010” to .250” thick, with custom and standard widths to 50” and lengths to suit. As with all of Penn Fibre’s high performance materials, Natural PVDF is offered with optional fabric backings for adhesion applications. In addition to sheet stock, Penn Fibre will also offer Natural PVDF welding rod, manufactured by their sister company, Ensinger/World Plastic Extruders, for fabrication applications.

Ultem 1000 natural is now available in 24” x 48” sheets in thicknesses of .040”, .062”, .093” and .125”. Ultem has long been a favored high performance material when high operating temperatures, chemical resistance, autoclavability and impact resistance are required. Ultem is also available in thin section rolls, strips and punched products by custom order. Interim sizes and gauges are quoted upon request. Custom colors are also available by request. The material is the first commercially available thermoformable nylon.

Pennite 4508 is 15% glass reinforced, heat ageing stabilized, impact modified, Type 6 nylon with exceptional heat characteristics for a polyamide. Since it’s introduction, the demand for the material has grown steadily as thermoformers continually develop new nylon applications. Under-the-hood applications have included air dams and radiator shrouds. Stock availability will include 24” x 48” and 48” x 96” sheets in standard thicknesses from .031” to .250”. Custom production orders of Pennite 4508 are available in both sheet and roll formats from .010” to .250” thick, in custom and standard widths to 50”, with lengths to suit.
