Dual-Lead Insert For Plastics

The “Zap-Sert®,” a threaded insert designed for multiple insertion applications (ultrasonic, thermal and strict ID hole tolerance for molding in-place) in plastics is offered by Yardley Products Corp.With identical leads at both ends, the fastener may be easily positioned for acceptance by high-speed automated machinery. The inserts are made of solid brass and feature radial barbs that strongly resist pull-out and torque. The units are available from stock with thread sizes ranging from 4- 40” to 5/16-18” and in metric from M3 to M8. Custom sizes are also available in most user-specified materials.
