Plastic Thermocutters
Abbeon Cal’s thermocutters feature electrically heated blades for cutting and trimming thermoplastics easily and effortlessly. T
wo models are available: the Model Zetz-24 is designed for heavy-duty, continuous cutting. The Zetz-9 is designed for non-continuous cutting. Both tools instantly heat up a wide assortment of blades from 200° to 1400°F. Temperatures are adjustable allowing the user to select the specific temperature for the material being cut. Applications include: trimming, parts cut-outs; cutting plastic, foam and rubber sheet stocks, rope and webbing; cutting and sealing synthetic fabrics, gaskets and more.
While most applications are cut by hand, the Model Zetz-24 can be fixtured or operated with end of arm tooling.
The units’ transformers step down the voltage to a safe level for operator safety. Thermocutters run on 120V power, 230V is also available. A wide assortment of blades will suit most cutting applications.
