SAINT-GOBAIN PERFORMANCE PLASTICS ACQUISITION

Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corp. announced that it has acquired Norwood Coated Products, a subsidiary of Seton Company. Nor wood Coated Products, a manufacturer of specialty foams and adhesives products designed for medical, electronics, automotive, and construction applications.

Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics produces flexible tubing, foams, films and laminates, and custom engineered components for automotive, aircraft, electronics, food and beverage, medical, construction, chemical processing and other applications.

The parent company, Saint-Gobain (France), is one of the top 100 industrial companies in the world. A leading producer of flat glass, containers, reinforcements, insulation, building materials, piping, abrasives and industrial ceramics, Saint-Gobain had sales of approximately $24.5 billion in 1999. The company employs approximately 163,000 people in 45 countries.
