Exclusive Non-stick Coating

Amana Tool, manufacturer of industrial-quality carbide-tipped, solid carbide and replacement carbide cutting tools, announced immediate availability of its blue blades, which feature an exclusive ElectroBlu™ translucent blue non-stick saw blade coating. The coating is applied using an environmentally friendly electrostatic process that deposits a strong, uniform micron-thin covering on the entire saw blade. Amana’s ElectroBlu saw blades, also known as “the blue blades,” are already in use at numerous large facilities and small shops alike. ElectroBlu is the only non-stick coating that also envelops the carbide blade tips as well as the saw body.

The blue blades’ micron-thin blue-tinted coating protects the surface of the blades from resin build-up and corrosion, prolonging the blade life and carbide tip sharpness, leading to longer tooth life and ensuring optimum performance.

Amana’s exclusive ElectroBlu coating is much thinner than the Teflon-like non-stick coatings on the market today, and it doesn't interfere with saw blade clearances or cutting performance. The blue blades have been subjected to extensive testing to ensure the finish adheres to Amana's stringent quality and performance standards. Amana’s blue blades, featuring the ElectroBlu non-stick coating, are available in a variety of sizes, including #MB10800, a double-sided melamine blade, and #LB10801, a non-melting plastic cutting blade.
