FEP-Lined Tubing

DelStar Technologies, Inc. announced a new Coretec® FEP tubing product, designed to offer cost effective solutions for high performance fluid and gas processing applications.

The new tubing has an inner lining of Teflon® FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) encased in a protective, and less expensive, LDPE (low density polyethylene) jacket.

DelStar Technologies is now stocking five sizes of this FEP-lined fractional tubing. The FEP inside diameters (I.D.) range from 0.170 to 0.625" (4 to 15 mm), and the LDPE outside diameters (O.D.) range from 0.25 to 0.75" (6 to 19 mm). The product is available in custom lengths. By lining the inner surface of LDPE tubing with FEP, this tubing provides the benefits of FEP at a percentage of the cost. The FEP lining offers a chemically inert, non-adherent surface, with a very low coefficient of friction and low permeability. It also exhibits excellent chemical resistance, as well as thermal and electrical stability.

Utilizing Coretec FEP-lined tubing is a cost-effective way to ensure accurate and dependable performance. It is ideal for industrial pumps processing corrosive chemicals, fuels, solvents or acids. Its non-stick innerlining handle adhesives or paint spray well, and allow for easy flush cleaning. Because FEP offers no trace of extractables, it serves well for distilled beverage production, water or environmental sampling, pigment processing or any critical fluid handling systems where cleanliness is important.

DelStar Technologies specializes in custom work and is willing to stock proprietary configurations for their customers. Coretec products can be extruded in a variety of custom colors and sizes, with up to a 12.75" (32 cm) outside diameter. Maximum available lengths will vary with diameter and wall thickness.
