Enclosed Gantry Router

The DMS enclosed overhead gantry features a 5 ‘x 5’ table with a 78” x 78” x 36” work envelope. Linear motors and drives on the primary axes eliminates the leadscrew/ballnut arrangement thereby increasing speed and cut quality this configuration permits travese speeds of up to 4,500 inches per minute. The continuous C-axis further reduces programming and cycle time by eliminating the need to unwind the axis. Three resident tools are provided, two in the 30,000 RPM double ended spindle and the third in a pneumatic right angle router. The automatic tool length sensor along with the TCP function allows for fast tooling setups and 5 axis tool length compensation. The high performance Fagor 8055 controller features TCP/IP network connection, up to 2 Gb compact flash memory and telediagnostics. Use of TCAL cylinders mounted flush in the table provides quick change fixturing and accurate fixture alignment.
