WEGENER Welding, LLC announced its acquisition of WEGENER North America, Inc.’s assets and the successful negotiation of distribution agreements with both WEGENER GmbH, Aachen, Germany and the WIDOS Company, Ditzingen, Germany. Through the acquisition, WEGENER Welding is positioned as a leading distributor of thermoplastic welding equipment in the United States.

The product lines of WEGENER GmbH and the WIDOS Company compliment one another, allowing WEGENER Welding to offer its customers an even broader range of standard welding equipment. WEGENER GmbH is a leading manufacturer of hot gas, hot gas extrusion as well as sheet buttwelding, sheet bending and related machinery. The WIDOS Company celebrates its 60th anniversary this year and is well known in Europe and around the world for its innovative technology in the field of plastic pipe butt and socket fusion machinery and other specialty plastic jointing technologies.

WEGENER Welding is owned by PDH, LLC, Nashville, Tennessee, and the WIDOS Company. The company will continue operations out of the Burr Ridge, Illinois facility using the experienced staff from WEGENER North America.
