Enterprise Software Enhancements
SYSPRO USA has announced several enhancements to their enterprise software for manufacturers and distributors.

Collection System Software

A new Collection System automates all aspects of debt collection. It fills a critical void that most ERP and CRM solutions have failed to address - that of automating the process of collecting past due invoices. The Collection System identifies overdue invoices, assigns (or reassigns) the invoices to designated collectors, monitors debt collection efforts and retains account collection history, tracking the number of times the account goes into the collection phase and number of days to pay. The software offers several levels of security to maintain the confidentiality of customer records.

The system has a screen for capturing Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) credit information and automatically creates monthly aging reports for submission to D&B. The Accounts Receivable module is a prerequisite for the new collection module, which is priced according to the number of users.

Metric Version of Material Yield System

SYSPRO also released a Metric version of its Material Yield System (MYS) software. Customers now have a choice of either American Standard or Metric Measurements. The ability of the system to handle metric measurements makes it ideal for multi-national companies involved in cut-shape distribution.

The Material Yield System is specifically designed for suppliers that sell custom-cut materials. Rather than purchasing standard size items, customers can order materials that are cut to specific measurements. However, custom cutting typically leads to the creation of remnants during the cutting process. Many suppliers consider these remnants "waste," since they cannot justify the time and effort necessary to physically measure, value and assign inventory numbers for their return to stock. The system produces savings in numerous ways. Waste is significantly reduced, remnants can become first-line inventory from which new orders are calculated, the system’s ability to make yield calculations automatically reduces the training time for new employees and sales professionals can devote more time to selling.
