Thermoforming Ovens
Fostoria Industries Inc. manufactures flat panel, lamp tube, gas catalytic and ceramic thermoforming ovens. The photo is a good example of their engineering and manufacturing capabilities. The unit is an inline thermoforming system designed to heat PVC floor liners for Sport Utility Vehicles. It utilizes a pneumatic lift platform at the entrance end load station; a vacuum cup lift system with individual generators and a high temperature conveyor belt to transport the cut sheet. A unique combination of electric infrared and platen heat brings the product to temperature within 60 seconds. After the product is heated, the conveyor will shuttle out and lay the product onto the tooling. The system is PLC controlled with an operator interface and recipes for different products.
