Polyimide Machining Stock
Pyropel HD is a high-purity thermoset polyimide machining stock ideal for the manufacture of parts subject to high temperatures or chemical attack. With temperature resistance to 550º, Pyropel HD exceeds the upper continuous use temperature limits of engineering grade thermoplastics and is comparable to other thermoset polyimides.

In addition to providing excellent thermal and chemical resistance, the material meets the outgassing and ionic purity standards required of engineering materials used in the semiconductor industry.

It is available in standard 12" x 12" plates in thicknesses up to 1". Typical applications include; metal welding and cutting equipment; water processing equipment; rotor and vane tips for gas turbines and valve parts; seals and manifolds for chemical and fluid andling pumps and equipment.
