Artek has announced that Boon Richards Sales, Inc. and Western Rubber Marketing, Inc. have joined their team of Specialized Sales Agencies. Boons Richards of Boon Richards Sales has been assigned to the sales territory of AR, LA, OK, and TX. Ron Ciarallo of Western Rubber Marketing has been appointed to the sales territory of CO, MT, UT, NM, and WY.

Professional Plastics has recently opened a new 8,500 square foot distributor center in Richardson, TX. The new location will continue the companies' expansion in the Texas market. At the same time, the company will consolidate the operations of it's Albuquerque, NM branch into the new location. The company now operates locations in four Texas markets: Austin, Houston, El Paso, and Dallas. Bill Minogue and Dick Wagner have formed NBS Manufacturing, Inc., to extrude thin gauge engineering thermoplastic sheet and strip products from 0.010" through 0.250" thick. Charlotte Buglio has also joined as Account Manager.

Licharz Inc., manufacturer of cast and extruded nylon and acetal, announced the building of their new production facility. The expansion scheduled to be completed January 2001, will help them keep pace with increasing worldwide demand.

GE Plastics has named Greg Adams as President of Commercial Plastics. Adams also heads Cadillac Plastic, which GE acquired earlier this year. M.R. French, Jr., the former President and CEO of Commercial, will assist with the transition of the business to GE, reporting to Adams as an executive advisor.

Primex Plastics Corporation appointed Mike Cramer to President, Tim Schultz to VP Sales and Marketing, and Scott Starbuck has moved to VP of product development.

Quintax Incorporated, a manufacturer of CNC routers, has added Jeff Stein and Creative Technology Systems as a sales representative.

Jean-Pierre Seeuws was elected president and chief executive officer of ATOFINA Chemicals Inc.

Meyer Plastics announced that its corporate headquarters in Indianapolis has achieved ISO 9001 Certification. This coincides with the celebration of the company's Fiftieth Anniversary and the opening of a new branch serving Dayton, OH.

Astech Plastic Distributors, Ltd. announced the appointment of Ryan Patterson as inside sales representative.

B.B. Bradley Co., Inc. has promoted Mr. H. Michael Gerboth to Project Manager, and added Les Dawson to the Engineering Department.

Eurohansa, Inc., a manufacturer of low speed rotary shredders, named Gene Ayers national sales manager of its plastic machinery market.

UV Research Inc. hired Dan Naughton as Director of Sales and Marketing Worldwide.

Brown & Sharpe has opened a West Coast Precision Center to provide sales, service and consultation to measuring systems customers.

American Plastics Council announced that ATOFINA Petrochemicals, Inc. has joined its membership. Jean-Pierre Seeuws, President & CEO of ATOFINA Petrochemicals and Kevin Boyle, Vice President, Polyethylene, will serve on APC’s Board of Directors. Separately, Laurie J. Kusek joined as director of Communications. Separately, Ronald Yocum, President and CEO of the American Plastics Council, has announced his retirement effective March 1, 2001.

Richard Averette, president of Precision Southeast, recently received the SPI Southern Region Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes outstanding dedication to the promotion of the plastics industry’s growth in the South.

Donald E. Denman has been promoted to Senior Applications Specialist at Delta Computer Systems, Inc.

New officers and directors were elected to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Store Fixture Manufacturers. Richard C. Ernest, president of Crown Metal Manufacturing Co., was elected President; David C. Reynolds, president of Miller Multiplex was elected Vice President; and James A. Schubert, president of Showbest Fixture Corporation was elected Treasurer.

Global plastics information and services provider TownsendTarnell.com announced that Scot R. Mitchell has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer.

Omnexus(tm) named Peter Dunning as its chief executive officer.

CTD Machines, Inc. announced the appointment of John Rossey as its National Sales Manager.

Ticona has appointed Stefan Sommer Chief Operating Officer.

JLM Industries, Inc. announced that Richard T. Dawson has joined the Company as Director of Legal Affairs.

EPTAM Plastics, announced plans to move to Northfield, NH. Ground was broken for a 60,000 sq. ft. facility in December 2000. This will allow EPTAM to combine two structures of 40,000 SF total in Gilford, NH into a single fully integrated machine/fabrication shop. Their new location will permit continued growth, easier access for customers and ground transportation as well as double the available labor market.
