PEEK MATERIALS MECHANICAL STRENGTH AND RIGIDITY

Sustatec^® PEEK, a polyetherether ketone material with excellent temperature resistance up to 300°C (572°F), is available from Sustaplast, L.P. The material, offered in three grades - unmodified, glass-fiber reinforced and modified - exhibits superior mechanical strength and rigidity, high impact resistance, and chemical resistance in high temperature applications. It has been applied successfully in a wide range of commercial and industrial uses, such as: food processing, beverage and bottling, chemical processing, medical equipment, automotive, and textiles.

The material is supplied in a wide range of sheet sizes and rods. Custom shapes and sizes are available and the material can be easily machined into intricately designed parts.

Sustatec^® PEEK is available in three grades: PEEK (unmodified) for high temperature applications, PEEK GF30 (glass-fiber reinforced) for applications that require higher mechanical strength and rigidity over a broad temperature range, and PEEK mod (modified) that has a lower coefficient of friction for high wear applications.
