PRICE INCREASES

Dow Plastics has announced price increases for MAGNUM™ acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) resins, TYRIL™ styrene acrylonitrile, (SAN) resins, CALIBRE™ polycarbonate resins and PULSE™ polycarbonate/ABS resins in North America.

According to Gary O'Neill, Engineering Plastics product manager with Dow Plastics, "These price increases are one of, several increases for engineering plastics that we've announced over the past year," O'Neill said. "As with earlier price increases, the current price action is being driven by the ongoing volatility of crude that continues to escalate the cost of raw materials. We also are experiencing sustained strong domestic and international demand growth, creating tight supply conditions for some of our product lines."
