MACHINEABLE PLASTICS

Goldenwest Mfg., Inc., offers several machineable plastics for a wide variety of uses. Their original Butter-Board®, is a non-abrasive for machining that is glass smooth, can be used for a modeling board for signs or trade shows, or as a thermoforming tool, and can be carved, milled, sanded, routed, and painted. With a density of 48 lbs. pcf., it is available up to 6" thick.

Their R1/HG3000 is tooling grade, strong, smooth, and dimensionally stable. It can be used for patterns, as a thermoforming tool, for intricate prototypes, or for tooling reference fixtures. With a density of 110 lbs. pcf., it is available in unlimited thickness and size - parts have been cast up to 13,500 lbs.

The R1/M15.2 general purpose pattern board is an alternative to 2" x 16" x 60" plank boards when you want a custom shape and size rather than cut and bond (density is 60 lbs. pcf.).

All the above are available in stock sizes plus custom shapes and sizes such as rectangles, discs, donuts, solid cylinders and combinations.

Additionally, their NC Proofboard® is a rigid, medium and high density, urethane foam board (density 4 to 30 lbs. pcf.) and comes in 4' x 4', 2' x 8', 4' x 8', and 4' x 10' sheets 1/2" or 1/8" thick. It is ideal for patterns, CNC proofing, insulation, sandwich cores, and signs.
