LARGE DIAMETER RODS

Sustaplast, Inc. has recently added extrusion capacity to produce acetal rods up to 12 inches in diameter, sizes not previously available in the U.S. The new machine capability allows them to offer large diameter acetal rods which are very much in demand, particularly in the silicon wafer processing and food processing industries.

Sustaplast V.P. of Sales, Mark Bogin explains, "The new capacity will allow us to satisfy increased customer demand for larger diameter rods so that they can produce larger, more complex finished parts. Until recently, rods were only available up to 8 inches in diameter, limiting the applications of engineering plastics."

The applications arena for large acetal finished parts includes: electronics, chemical and fluid handling, medical equipment, environmental technology, agricultural machinery, metalworking, electrical engineering, conveying, food and beverage processing, textile, and automotive, among others.
