ACRYLIC PRICE HIKES

For the first time in two years, acrylic resin makers are seeking price increases. AtoHaas North America, CYRO Industries, and ICI Acrylics, Inc., who combined, account for over 90 percent of acrylic resin production in North America, are seeking a 5 percent increase in general purpose resin prices. The increase equates to approximately 4 cents per pound. In spite of the projected increases, sales are expected to be up 2 to 3 percent in 1999.
