THREADED INSERTS

Providing durable threads in plastics, SI® press-in threaded inserts are installed easily by simply press-fitting them into place. These inserts fromPenn Engineering & Manufacturing Corp. offer a practical threading alternative for materials which may be too brittle to accept "stress" levels produced by thread-forming screws. Upon installation, all SI press-in inserts resist pullout and torsional force.

The line of press-in threaded inserts includes the PP, PK, and PFL series, which broach into the plastic walls and absorb installation force to reduce stress levels, and the NFP series, which features an hexagonal "barbed" configuration to further promote high pullout and torsional resistances.
