HOT KNIFE
Avalon Concepts' QC Hot Knife is a quick, clean, and precise way to cut and shape expanded and extruded polystyrene as well as other foamed plastics. The knife weighs less than 2 lbs. and features a 16 position adjustable temperature control. A unique feature is the triggered on/off switch that allows the blades to heat up in a matter of seconds to a temperature of up to 750°F. The specialty alloy blades are available in numerous shapes and sizes. The knife comes with a 4" straight blade, 1" V blade and 3 - 12" pieces of Bend-A-Blade Material. A complete kit, which includes a groove sled for wider cuts or creating channels and for custom cuts, is available.
