SLEEVING COMPANY PURCHASED
Hilec, Inc., wholly owned subsidiary of Special Electric Co., announced the acquisition of the assets of the Natvar fiberglass sleeving product line, which will be moved from Clayton, NC-to the Hilec facility in Arcade, NY. The Natvar product line of treated and coated sleeving is an enhancement to the existing similar business at Hilec and is the latest of several acquisitions since Hilec was purchased by Special Electric Co. in 1986. Others have included Voltube and Brand-Rex making Hilec one of the most complete, efficient producers of sleeving products including vinyl, silicone and acrylic coated as well as heat treated and dyed fiberglass braid and various braided monofilament sleevings.
