Norplex-Micarta Doubles Vertical Treater Capacity

Norplex-Micarta, the leading manufacturer of high performance thermoset composites, has begun installation on a second vertical treater in the company’s Postville, Iowa global headquarters. This new addition, the first double pass treater at the company’s facility, will substantially increase the company’s production capacity, resulting in more flexible production schedules and delivery times.

The new double pass vertical treater allows Norplex- Micarta to better serve the critical process industries that require cleaner, more modern manufacturing facilities. Because the heaters are located closer to the materials being processed, less airflow is required to maintain an even heat source. The lower airflow minimizes particulate contamination, resulting in an optimal manufacturing environment for high-quality, high-performance glass epoxy thermoset composites.
